MaybeA Poem by Brandon MathisI was smoking a cig and thought of this poem enjoyTake away my cancer and maybe I’ll have an answer suffocate me with these black lungs maybe I just might have a chance
I can feel you sink in, once again I breath out but don’t make a sound It’s like I have made it to the end maybe I’ll lift myself up from the ground or maybe I’ll just give in
Slither into me and take my memories you’re the disease that I love to feed maybe you won’t be so greedy when you take the light away from me
I don’t really have any regrets maybe I’ll have another cigarette before the cancer lays me to rest I watch as the smoke fills my chest maybe I’ll evaporate with my last breath, just maybe…. © 2012 Brandon Mathis |
