My Heart and Soul

My Heart and Soul

A Poem by Brandon Mathis
"

I wrote this for my son and wife

"

I carry my heart in my hand

I try to be the best that I can

I’ll be there when you need me

I’m going to be the man that you can see

I’ll be there to catch you as you fall

I’ll be there when you don’t need me at all

I want to be your guardian angel

so I can be there to save your life

I’ll be there to make sure we don’t say goodbye

I’ll make you feel like you can fly,

put you to bed at night,

give you a kiss goodnight,

tell you that I love the way your eyes shine

and I will love you till the day that I die

I give you my soul

I’ll be there to give you hope

I’ll be your piece that makes you whole

I’ll be there to never let you go

give you my heart to hold

I’ll be your best friend

I’ll be there to make you grin

I can feel you breath in me again

my soul in you, my heart is yours

I’ll be there for you till the end
