Through My Eyes (Tomorrow Never Comes)

Through My Eyes (Tomorrow Never Comes)

A Poem by Brandon Mathis
"

Recently lost my son only lived an hour and this is what came out.

"

In my eyes

I can see you in the mist

Out of my sight

I can feel this misery

The pain won’t go away

No matter how many I take

It all stays

Through my eyes

Everything’s on fire

Tomorrow begins again

It’s like this never ends

Through my eyes

My soul dies

I’m sorry for whatever I’ve done

Maybe tomorrow never comes

And I float with the sun

Through my eyes

Tomorrow never comes

The air that I breathe

Is thicker than blood

I would surrender all of my love

Just to see you once

Tomorrow never comes

I have never wanted anyone so much

Now I’m feeling so lost

My soul is dead and gone

Through my eyes

My life has been stolen

I can’t find my life

I don’t remember where I was going

I'm sososososososo sorry about your son! D: However, the poem certainly describes your feeling. Brilliant job! :)

I hope that this recent stretch of writing has been therapeutic for you, as you've managed to tap into such a devastating event and derive from it some of most powerful poetry I've read on here in the few months I've been on the site.

so much pessimistic in this poem, it sounded great for me, always the most we want something or someone, the latest they are to come. patience becomes impossible then..
i have really enjoyed reading it..
