My Last Good-byes

Can you just whisper in my ear?

Just to let me know that you’re near

Say it a little louder so it’s clear

Or maybe you can just appear

Don’t be afraid there’s nothing to fear

 

I know that you can feel me somehow

All I can do is breath in your life

I hope you’re in the clouds

Looking down on me so proud

It’s all that I can wish for on the inside

 

No matter what I do

Or how many times that I cry

I know that you’re lost forever in my life

But I know somehow you’re here to help me make it through

And I don’t ever want to lose you

 

I know that someday,

I will have to let you go

I know no matter how much I pray,

That you’re never coming back home

I know that for now you’re here to stay,

So I don’t have to face this world alone

 

As you float away

I say my last good-byes

I say that, “I love you forever and always”

With a tear in my eye

You will always be a part of my life

And you have given me everything

And don’t you ever be shy

To ever come and say, “Hi”

But for now this is my last good-bye

saying goodbye is never a fun thing to do, unless you really do want the person to leave, then its a good thing. But in this you definitely convey the longing to keep the person around, but there is hope that the person will come back into your life one day. beautiful piece :)
