I have been searching for something

Maybe just a glimpse of a reason

Why my days are always nights

I sit and pray for you to take this pain

But I guess I’ll take this pain to my grave

 

All of my life

I have been searching for something

Maybe it was a reason for you to change

But nothing ever goes my way

I still pray on my knees for a better day

Maybe I need to pry open your eyes

Just for you to see it my way

I have been searching for someone

To take away all my bad luck

Hasn’t this world burned me too much?

I take a pill to blind me from these black days

Because my heart has had enough

And I lose all of my trust

Why doesn’t this all fade away?

 

All of my life

I have been searching for something new

Maybe I can find a way to make it through

It seems that I have nowhere to go

Waiting and praying that you won’t

 Leave me here forever all alone

 

All of my life

I have been searching for answers

That won’t ever get resolved

It’s hard to live when it’s all ready gone

All of my prayers have all been lost

But maybe the answers will come along

Before this world won’t need me to belong

This is absolutely touching and brilliant. As though life has kicked him and living is a struggle but he's still searching for that something to fill the destruction with. well that's what I take from this. Excellent piece.
