Your Hand Slips

It seems that I have lost my way

I am in search of better days

Another migraine that lets me know I’m close to insane

My soul aches with all this pain

I guess things will never simply change

 

Your hand slips away as my life you try to grab

This world is taking everything that I have

I hide my eyes behind a smile that looks like I’m glad

Falling face first losing my dreams so fast

I’m losing my mind and I don’t know how to act

 

So tell me that you are going to show me the way

Tell me that you have a present called better day

Tell me that you’re going to take the pain that aches

Show me how to make this all go away

Tell me there’s nothing to lose and make a change

Tell me that there was nothing I could do before I fade

 

This is not how I wanted my life to be

But nothing is free besides my misery

This world hides my eyes so that I can’t see

It’s taking everything in my life that I need

There’s no way out but I still try to leave

But I have to try and fight this fear inside of me
