SatisfiedA Poem by Brandon MathisI think I need to relax Before I begin to collapse The air in my lungs is starting to attack The lighting has been striking And the fire is extracted In my eyes do I look satisfied? When the whole world turns to black Stop this world Before it all seeps in and starts to hurt Pull me down, hold me till I drown I watch as your smile turns to a frown Do you feel satisfied now? Dig me my grave, Put me underground I don’t know if there’s anywhere to run I have ran so much, I have lost every bit of the sun And I think I might come undone Who are you and who have you become? Will you be satisfied when you see blood? Is your heart that cold? Satisfied with your own blackened world to show I’m so young but your hurt makes me old Just one of many that you steal for your own Take our lives and shatter our hope Leaving us in your dark world to call our home Do you feel satisfied now? Now that I’m here all alone © 2012 Brandon MathisReviews
