  Lives were lost

Love was lost

Pain was inflicted

But is this really more of a tragedy than the wars we engage?

 Brutality isn't something surreal

 It happens

All the time

Just not here.

Just not to us.

  How have we let this happen?

We are not untouchable.

We can be weak. 

It's time to realize that

and understand that we cannot expect peace if we surround ourselves with violence
