Save me from my solitudeA Poem by Sarah-Betha poem about an anxious heartAs he stares out the window sitting on the arm of the couch, thoughts race through my head. Go to him, comfort him, save him from his solitude. Softly a sigh escapes his lungs Feet start to move knees start to bend. Floorboards creak and fabric rustles. Finally close proximity together in the same frame. Slightly moves his head sensing my approach. Clasping hands to my heart I breath in an inaudible breath. Time stops as trembling hands find warmth on a lonley shoulder. Eyes are closed as I run my fingers through his hair relishing sensation, heart expanding with emotion. Slowly he moves as now determined hands push him into surrender. Hearts are beating as he lays below, pulse is racing as I sit beside him. Breathing shallow as our hands entwine. His eyes are shut as if still unsure that I am here. Caressing my face, tracing my lips with his hands yearning he would do it on his own. His eyes are open, lonliness gone, filled with peace. Soft hands now explore his face, feel his hair and touch his lips. I move my face closer, closer until I feel his breath upon my lips. Lips brush, a pause, a breath, a tremble, lips now joined. Thoughts stop, skin flushed, as we save eachother. © 2009 Sarah-BethAuthor's Note
