Who Is To Blame

Who Is To Blame

A Story by bluessadmood
"

this really happened ..one hot summer day

"

Oh..If you only know how funny all is what’s going on here on my land...
Once few years ago, I was heading back from work, it was a very hot summer; there was a personnel carrier in front of me...
I saw a pretty girl in uniform still remember her she was sitting in the back with helmet and heavy armored clothes...
All sweat under the hot July sun, I will never forget that face, no more than 20 years of age, I still recall those looks, and they were so at loss
I swear I could read in her eyes, something like saying what the hell I am doing here...
Now suppose I was in the so called resistance groups, and I had to kill all that beauty and innocense...if i was face to face with her
How could I kill someone I know he has nothing to do with it, and yet it’s my obligation to kill her to free the land from occupation for I am a brave citizen ha ha (how I find all this, so funny), ha ha it’s funny...
I went through three wars, and I never injured a soul even if I had the chance, so supposedly how will I kill this young lady. I was looking deep into her lovely very deep blue eyes, and she... wondering all the time...then i thought i will bypass them so they dont think i am planning anything like trying to attack them,
So I raced my car away from them, only few minutes to hear a very strong blast, and I looked back in the mirror, just to see the carrier was blown away to pieces and so muchchoas there
And heavy smoke going high up to the skies, all this took no more than few minutes. You would not believe it, but I was stressed, I kept thinking about the young lady who is no more... even thought of going back and see what happened...
But that would be crazy, because the survivals (the troops) once they are attacked they will shoot everyone in sight, they get panicked... but also then so many innocent Iraqis will
Pay for the accident and lose their lives...that’s always the case, that’s how hatred among people who have nothing to do with this stupid war or with the resistence groups...
This was the way so many tragedies happened, the last six years...
It’s been six years since that pretty American girl died for nothing, and with her about twenty innocent Iraqis also lost their lives...
This goes on almost a daily basis...i really wonder who is to blame...

As in wars down through the centuries power is the blame, terrorism is blamed the blame goes on and on but the question of why still remains. The innocent people alway suffer. We are put here to love life, not destroy it. Your land has lost many innocent people and that must be a horrible burden of emotions on those that live there. To never have been in the middle of a battle scarred country or fought one, it is hard to imagine the devastation that occurs. May peace find its way to your homeland and may others leave you to that peace. To wake up and travel roads of peace and tranquility is my wish for you kind sir. We can only hope and pray that one day the world finds peace with itself before we destroy it.

Who is to blame...good question. I believe Iraq should be left alone and anyone who goes in there carrying arms has no right to be there. I truly do not understand this war, I know terrorism has a big part to play in this dangerous game of cat and mouse, however Western troops presence in your country is doing nothing as I see it. You live there so you would know how bad things are much better than I and I am sad for you.
I don't know how you can stand it...

This is a haunting memoir. How people survive in such times...and in such troubled places like your's? Just an incident from your life..a few minutes perhaps.,..and i can feel the tension..the fear and uncertainties that your each day battles with.God! I feel like giving a thousand thanks to almighty for the calmness in my life. And i feel like an idiot thinking of all the times I cried myself to sleep worrying over a new pimple on my face, or a few extra milligrams on the weighing scale!!!!

What futility, this brought tears to my eyes, so strong and so emotive. You capture a scene exquisitely. I can only tell you that it was brilliantly written!

Oh dear God, the futility of it all. The loss of innocent lives and for what??
How awful Moayad for you to see this beautiful girl her face puzzled and wondering what
she was doing in all this abomination called "war".... little knowing her days
on earth were numbered within minutes and her body shipped back in a body bag with
other Americans to grieving families back home.

What of the innocent Iraqis, the fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters,
aunties, uncles and the precious, precious little children. The slaughter
and grieving goes on and on....

Who is to blame? God only knows....

Cold hard reality, very well written and it certainly sent a chill down my spine my friend.

As the saying goes, "All is fair in love and war." That's a horrid saying but it holds much truth. I believe war is a terrible and its NEVER okay, but some see it as a way to prove something. But I believe its just a way to prove who has the best weapons, the least soul/ innocence. Your writting is so vivid, so inspiring. It makes me proud to know writters ^^

That was a very strong account, and I don't know how to comment on it. It was thought provoking, sad, and heartfelt. There are so many innocent victims on both sides, faces and destinies that the world never even gets to know about.. Thank you for sharing.

Oh wow, amazing piece of writing. All the more powerful because it is real.
This made me cry. All the women and men who have died there, who had nothing to do with all of this.
Great job. I have no criticisms, I'd hate to criticize this.
God bless.
