I will live

I will live

A Story by bluessadmood
"

just thoughts came to me,but really i am never a coward, just had to tell this

"

A friend asked me once, that he is surprised how I laugh and my writings and reviews are so happy and full of joy
While we lead such a terrible life. Here came these thoughts...
No matter if the sky is cloudy, rainy and black. I will live
No matter if my roads are bumpy full of never joyful rides. I will live
So many explosions, bombings around me, leading a very risky life. But I will live
I get very sad at what I see every day, so much misery around, but I will laugh and I will live
No matter how life is so hard and was ever so like this all my life. Still, I will live
And if I was caught between heavy fires, I always knew God was with me. And I lived
But if by mistake I was hit, then I would laugh and say goodbye to life. Then I could not live. Not any more
And I will excuse those who brought us these ways, as before I die, I will laugh again, it’s a stupid life anyway.....

Hi bluessadmood: It is apropos that I found you today because of the agreement between the US and Iraq; hopefully that's a good thing and will lead to a more secure and peaceful world. Though of course there are no easy answers and it is not known yet whether the US ultimately will sign the agreement since our Congress will have to approve. Thus, with that backdrop, it is all the more poignant to read this "story" of yours. It speaks to me of the triumph of the human spirit, of yours. Would that we all have that depth within us to draw out the light even in the midst of terrible darkness. I don't know whether you want any suggestions are not. I won't make any at this time, in case you don't, so as not to detract from the beauty you have shared. If you do want suggestions, let me know and I will share them with you.

All I can say, is that your poem hit it right on the head. I have been around the world and in places, that aren't in "The first world". (for the lack of a better term) they seem to be, happier with, what they have. They always have a smile on there faces, but if an American or European where in there shoes, they would be like little babies crying for their mommy.

thank you for the nice review
It's wonderful to read you again my friend.

I have always enjoyed your writings, so profound and truthful.

You are a shining light in the midst of darkness. A hopeful candle flickering urgently, but never going out.

A poet, who makes me stop and think! The pettiness that goes on in our lives is nothing, nothing compared to what you have to endure day in and day out.

The poem was superb:

"I will excuse those who brought us these ways, as before I die, I will laugh again, it's a stupid life anyway...."

Yes it is, but you make the most of what you have. Let it be a lesson to all of us.

Thank you!

That is how I truly feel Moayad.

No matter what happens around us, we are the makers of our own destiny; meaning that we control our minds and our attitudes toward things. We can choose to be angry or we can choose to be happy. Some of us have a harder time in life than others, and when those people are able to smile and be happy, that is a true gift.

Beautiful sentiment, my friend.

I do not view this as cowardice. It's quite the opposite actually. To find courage amidst turmoil is strength. This write makes me feel a lot more confident. Thanks for writing this.

I am not in the throes of war and all of its horrors, but sometimes life overwhelms me in sorrows as great as war. Just when I think it is impossible to be stretched anymore, yet I am. When I think insanity is on the brink, I remain sane. For one with so many words, still I am unable to say what I feel. Anyway, I appreciate your spirit. You are one of strength with the courage to live.

Positive, yet cynical at the same time... I like this. It says a lot about life.
