Harmattan in KanoA Poem by BAMBE ABASS ABIDEMIHarmattan and the Kano dwellers fateHarmattan in Kano a misery Bewitched season, eyes and strands Tainted white ,only blood red Eucalyptus, the thenar and maize dry dead Into the field, hoes crying, creaking and fall The succulent and pasture songs sleeps There are no Lilly, the carrot brittle All night so far alone with crying puppy Ducks curse by, murmuring and up the air Only in the hut the heat bake Then the steam of boiling kids Only In the day all joy to joy When smile on by burning ball Once again I ponder, the misery Name naked dancing night The killer, victim or the moon Sophia Her terror, a passion to a number A death slaying to more a gross Beauty slipping for naked primate For her a linen, but not Doss and strangle the green quietly Oh deadly naked killer of men. Then the tap heard i Enshrouded the night, noon is here Angry duck once more I hear spit the sun The dogs, warms hurting the earth Oh this wails and swears i'm full Grunts on heat when frost no more There my back laid and soul buried. © 2021 BAMBE ABASS ABIDEMIAuthor's Note
