You're My Diamond In The Rough

You're My Diamond In The Rough

A Poem by bluenosebitch

You’re my diamond in the rough,
Not the glass on the ground,
As Olivia,
You are special all round,
You are what money can't buy,
But I will buy you what ever you want,
Not to buy your love,
Just because I can,
That sparkle in your eye,
Is worth more than any diamond in the world,
You’re the brightest star in the sky,
You’re the air I breathe,
You’re the sunrise and sunset,
You really are my world,
Now this is true,
I can't ask for it off you,
And I wouldn't ask for money,
As love to me,
Is more than that,
More than buying anything you can,
All I ask is you keep on smiling,
And you keep me smiling,
I ask that you never stop writing,
As your poems are what gets me through the day,
And the thought of you,
Keeps this smile in its rightful place,
So trapped behind a bar,
You will always stay,
As you’re the one with the key to my heart,
And there we will never be apart.
