Chapter 1
I was so glad today was Sunday. It made my life so much easier. I got up out of bed and I looked at the clock. I can’t believe I slept that late! I have always been a late sleeper, but not this late. It was two in the afternoon! I ran down the steep stairs and into the kitchen. “Mom? Are you here?”
“I’m on the back porch.” She yelled back. I went back there to find her looking at the trees in the huge forest behind our house.
“What ‘cha doing?”
“Thinking about what I want to do today. I think I may go shopping at North Point. Wanna go?”
“Sure. When are we gonna’ leave?”
“When ever you want.”
“K, how about now?”
“Alright, let’s go.” I did and I didn’t want to go. I liked to shop, but only for certain things. My favorite store is really any sports store. I to one at least once a week. Every time I go, I spend over an hour in either the archery or hunting section. I absolutely love to shoot things.
We got in the car and we were off. It only took about ten minutes to get there. We didn’t talk the whole way there so it was dead silent. It wasn’t an awkward silence though. It was kind of nice. It gave me time to listen to music on my wonderful most cherished IPod. “Can you drop me off at what ever sports store is around here and pick me up in an hour? I need to pick up some things.”
“Sure. Do you have money?”
“Yep.”
“Oh, and afterwards I want to take you shopping for some more clothes.” I knew what she wanted for me. She wanted me to wear more girly-like looking clothes. I like the clothes I have. They aren’t girly, but they aren’t boyish. They are just normal: Jeans and a T-shirt.
“K. See you in an hour.” I had an hour in my favorite store. What ever shall I ever do?
I went inside and straight to the archery section. I needed more arrows and a few targets. I had broken a few targets from shooting them with guns. I know I wasn’t supposed to shoot the archery targets with guns, but I had nothing else. I found the black and baby blue arrows I wanted in the back of the store and I put them in the buggy. I couldn’t find the targets I wanted, though. I went to one of the counters in that section and I asked a new guy, “Do you have any more archery targets that are different than the ones that are out?”
“No, that’s all we have. So, you’re into archery? That’s cool. I like it too.” He picked up a bow and arrow and pretended to shoot it. He was doing it wrong.
“Don’t push your luck.” Haha, I like the new guy. He’s funny. I left him anyway and got a few of the targets that they had. I went to the hunting section to see if they had any actual shooting targets. I looked for about fifteen minutes. I finally found them in the last place I looked, right next to the counter, where I was about to ask where they were. I picked up a few of those and put them in the very squeaky and annoying buggy.
I stopped and thought what else I needed at the best store in the world. I came up with running shoes and clothes. That was it. I went to find some new running shoes first. I picked up the first shoe I saw, it was blue, my favorite color. I put it down and looked to see if I liked any other shoes there. I didn’t really so I went back and got the ones I found first. I looked at the price. Eighty dollars and they were on sale for fifty. I knew they were perfect. I put them in the buggy and right when I was looking up I saw the archery guy walking toward me. He came over to me and he had a weird smile. “Do you need any help? I am an expert on shoes.” That just explained why he was wearing a pink shirt.
“Um… No, thanks. I am about to go look at clo…..something else.” Right in mid-sentence I decided to not tell him where I was going. That was a very bad idea. I left him and went to the clothes section. I found a few shirts and a few pants and put them all in the buggy. I looked at my phone to see what time it was. I still had about ten minutes so I went to the cash register to check out.
I bought all that I needed with my platinum American Express card. Sheesh, I buy a lot of stuff. I took the bags and went outside to wait for my foster mom. She, of course, was early and waiting for me. I put the bags in the back of the truck and jumped inside. “Do we have to go shop for clothes? I’m really tired.”
“No, we don’t. I figured you would say something like that so I went ahead and picked up a few shirts, dresses, shoes, and jewelry for you.” She had a huge smile on her face. Great, she bought me a bunch of clothes I would never wear.
We headed home and on the way I thought about it and I couldn’t stand it. I had to see what she got. I mean, she has great taste in clothes and stuff, but I just probably won’t wear what ever she got. I reached in the back seat to grab one of the six huge bags. The one I picked had a few dresses in it. They were all cute, and I pulled a few out and looked at them closely. They were mainly darker colors and I realized that even though they were dresses, I would still wear them. Well, if I had to go somewhere fancy. I closed the bag and put it in the back seat again. Just then we pulled into the driveway. I got out of the car, grabbed my bags and went to the shed in the backyard. That’s where I kept all of my archery supplies. I put everything away and I went back to the truck to get all the clothes. I looked up at the sky. It was so pretty. It looked exactly like the ceiling at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas.
I grabbed the bags and went inside. When I got up to my room, I open and dumped all of the bags on my bed to sort them out and put them away. I noticed that the rest of stuff I would actually wear too. It was all in darker colors. I also noticed a few shoe boxes. I opened them up and they all had shoes I loved and I knew I was going to wear. I was so happy! I ran down stairs to thank Mom for buying all the stuff. She was in the kitchen making dinner. “Thank you so much for all the clothes! I love them!”
“I thought you would. Dinner is ready. Do you want some?”
“Sure. Where’s Dad?”
“In the basement. Can you go tell him that dinner is ready?” I went to the basement door and told him, and then I went straight to the kitchen table ready to eat. I was so hungry.
I finished eating and I went upstairs to take a long and hot shower in my blue and brown bathroom. I turned the shower on, got undressed and walked in. I absolutely love steaming hot showers. When I finished, I dried off and got dressed. I went back into the now foggy hot bathroom and brushed my clean, but tangled hair. I put it up in a ponytail when I was done. It was about nine at night so I decided I was going to go outside and use my new archery targets.
I got outside and it wasn’t that dark because I had the very bright outside lights on all around the fence in the backyard. I set up the circular rainbow target on its stand. I positioned the arrow so it would hit the bull’s-eye then I let go. It hit it right on the dot.
I practiced for the rest of the hour and then I went inside, brushed my teeth and I went to sleep in my nice, soft, warm, cozy bed.
This morning I felt something in the pit of my stomach, which made me think something was going to happen today. With all that has happened to me in the last year and all my crazy feelings and experiences, it was probably just Monday morning sickness. I slowly and drearily got up anyway out of my very comfy and warm bed, got dressed in my new clothes, brushed my teeth with my favorite toothpaste and slid down the banister that was next to the steep stairs.
“C’mon Jack, we’re going to be late to school!” My sarcastic foster mom said as we still had over an hour till we had to leave. I really do have great foster parents. My real parents died four years ago when I was thirteen. They were murdered by a very sick and insane person who escaped from the highest and most secured prison two months after he was put in there for murdering them.
“Let me finish my makeup first, and eat breakfast and then we can leave. Ok?” I yelled back. Makeup was a necessity for me when I went anywhere in public, even an old beat up gas station. I ran to the kitchen and fixed a bowl of my most favorite cereal in the whole wide world, Rice Krispies Treat cereal.
“Well you don’t want to be late for your field trip to the State Capital. Right?”
“What ever you say mom.” Yeah, I really wanted to go to the State Capital with a bunch of overachievers from my social studies class and learn about the history of each room. I swear this will be the most boring and dreadful trip of the year. Well, on the plus side, the guy I like is going.
I finished my cereal and I packed my simple black backpack and I got into the tall bulky black truck. “Can I drive? I have my license. Remember?” I had to try and get her to say yes because I had to practice sometime because I don’t have a car of my own here since I’m just a foster kid. Plus I love driving the truck.
“Fine, but only today” Yes! She gave me the keys! I got in the car, started it up and pulled out of the driveway.
We got to school and the buses we there ready to load up a bunch of highly annoying eleventh graders who will be yelling and jumping around the whole ride there. I was lucky enough to be on a bus with only my small class of eighteen tolerable people. I said bye to my foster mom and I loaded the charter bus. I found my seat near the middle of the bus and I sat down. I pulled out my IPod and started listening to my favorite playlist. I closed my eyes and just as I was about to relax, I felt the seat tilt a little. I looked over slowly thinking who it could be that wanted to sit next to me. It was James, the guy I liked.
I turned to meet eye to eye with his cute face. We usually talked every morning before our dull class began each day. All we say around each other is usually only something funny or a short, stupid, and pointless story about something that had happened during the day before. We still don’t usually talk that much to each other and we don’t know each other that well, but I like James and he likes me. The bus pulled out as we started to talk.
“Hi, James”
“Hey Jack! Can I listen? To your IPod I mean. It’s a long ride and I get bored really easily.”
“Actually, I was about to turn it off cause it about to die” A complete lie.
“Oh, ok, I guess.” He sad it really sadly and now I feel bad.
“We can still talk”
“About what?”
“Well, what’s something you like?”
“Cars, do you like them?”
“Um…Yeah, my foster dad is really into them.”
“Oh, well do you like specific type of car?”
“I just like really, really fast cars.” That is very true. My real dad taught me how to drive when I was eight years old.
We talked for a straight hour till we got to the State Capital. I learned a lot about him, and it was actually fun. “Alright kids, we’re here. Get your stuff and line up outside” Our teacher, Mr. Beach, said as everyone pushed and shoved each other off the bus.
We lined up outside, where he told us to, and we went inside. We had to go through tons of security to get inside. I went through one of the walk-through scanners, and of course the beeper thing went off with my luck. I stepped out to the side and the security guard scanned me and it beeped at my ankle. Just as I pulled up the end of my jeans a little to show him my anklet, I saw his face. It had a huge scar across it. He looked so familiar, but I couldn’t remember where I saw him before. You would think I would recognize a face like that.
We finished our tour and then we scattered to the bus. The other buses left before us, so everyone was trying to hurry. We all piled onto the bus and back to our seats. Just as I was about to close my eyes, I saw him. I saw the security guard who scanned me and had a scar across his face. He was coming onto the bus.
The bus pulled out and ten minutes passed before I heard a ticking. I knew exactly what it was and where it was coming from. The guard had brought it on the bus with him. Great, I had to mix old work with school and normal life. So of course being who I am I yelled out as loud as I could, “Stop the bus! There is a bomb on here! Everyone off!” Everyone looked back at me like I was a maniac. I really couldn’t blame them. When they got off the bus, I was kind of surprised that everyone followed my directions as we ran from the bus. I looked around, but I didn’t see Scarface (I called him that only because of his face) anywhere. We got about not even a quarter mile away and the bus blew up. Today had to be the day they were coming after me. I figured they were going to sometime, but of course, today they had to.
Chapter 2
“Jack, what’s going on? How did you know about the bomb? Where are we?” James looked so cute when he was scared. I sighed very loudly knowing I was going to have to tell them. Everything. Well, not everything, but a lot I shouldn’t.
“First, my name is not Jack, its Luna. Luna Jaclyn. I am what you would probably call a spy or secret agent. I quit about a year ago ‘cause of an ……accident. That bomb back there was to kill me. The people who are coming after me don’t care about other people, which is why they had it on the bus that would kill you too. They were the people who killed my real parents and the people I put in jail because of it. They had a life sentence, but escaped two months after being put in there.”
“Don’t you have a last name?” Mr. Beach asked. I just told him all that and he wanted to know if I had a last name. Wow, he was seriously oblivious.
“No I dropped the last name when my parents died. My foster parents just think that my real name is Jaclyn Avery and they think my real parents died in a fire.”
“So, what now?” A few people asked at the same time. I had no idea what to do. I could only think to do one thing. I had to call.
“Alright I will call for help” I really didn’t want to call him, but I dialed the number anyway on my Cellphone. “Hey, Shane. Um…. remember when I left, you said if I ever need any work related help, that you would come? Well that time is now. I will send you the coordinates.” I did it. I gave him the coordinates and I hung up. “He should be here soon.”
“Who is coming?” Mr. Beach was always nosy.
“His name is Shane, he used to be my old…..partner.” Right then I looked at James’ face. He was so jealous. He he, I had never had a guy be jealous of another guy because of me. I knew Shane only lived a few miles away, so I figured that he should be there within minutes. Everyone sat down and waited. I was a few feet away from everyone scanning different profiles on my IPod of people who might know where to find the bombers. James came over next to me and sat down on a seriously dirty rock.
“So, your name is Luna, right?” He looked so confused. It was kina funny and cute.
“Yeah, and just a warning, this guy Shane, he is a bit, well big.” Just as I finished my sentence I heard it. I heard Shane’s helicopter about a mile away. “He’s here. Get ready.”
“Get ready for what?” I could tell him, but I didn’t want him to be more scared than he already was.
“All I can tell you now is that he is going to fly us back to my place.”
“Won’t the bad guys be waiting for us there?”
“First, they would be waiting for me, not us, and second, they don’t know about this place, it was my real parent’s house before they died. They left everything they own to me and it’s like they knew they were going to die soon because of what they said to me the few days before it happened. Anyway, it was just weird.” Shane landed and I went up hugged him and thanked him for coming. I introduced him to the rest of my class, knowing he wouldn’t remember their names anyway. I kept looking at him and thinking about all the feeling I still had for him. I hadn’t seen him since the accident and I have really missed him.
We all piled into the tiny helicopter that barely fit all of us. We started off and I looked back at everyone’s scared faces. I felt so bad, but I didn’t know what to do with them. I had told them so much just by saying my real name and saying what had happened to my parents.
“Everyone Ok?” I said through the microphone that was connected to everyone else’s head sets.
“Yeah, but I’m confused. So you used to be a former spy type thing and your name is Luna?” Mr. Beach asked. He is in his 20’s so he shouldn’t be confused about this. He talks about movies all the time in class so you would think he would have seen some type of spy movie.
“Yeah, that’s right and Shane used to be my partner.” I said. Shane had to speak just after me. He just had to.
“I was not just your partner. I was your boyfriend too. Remember? I was at least until you got shot, then left the agency a week later.”
“Oh my gosh! You got shot?” I swear everyone asked that at the same exact time. I looked at Shane and gave him that told him that I was going to remember that.
We got to my place and landed on the helicopter pad on the roof. I kept hearing the ‘ooohs’ and ‘ahhhhs’ as I gave a quick tour around the outside of the huge old castle like mansion. It was like the kind you see in movies where it has ivy growing up the side of it and it has secret passages all through it. It also has all the turrets and it’s made of the gray stone type stuff. We went inside and I kept hearing all the shocked people whisper about the house. They all were surprised by all the modern furniture and all the technical gadgets that they had never known existed. Most of the house had the stone on the inside, but some rooms had painted walls put up. I took them all to the safe room. It was a big white room that was like an apartment crammed into one room with a kitchen, beds and all. Shane and I went through out the house searching for bugs just in case they knew about this place.
Hours passed when I had realized that we had stayed up all night looking at different people who could have helped out with the bombing. I thought that I should go and check on everyone in the safe room. I decided on the way there that I would let everyone out to explore around the house. When I got there, mostly everyone was asleep. I woke them all up and showed them all how to use the speaker system that runs all through the house and to call if they needed anything. They all went off in their separate ways, but one person stayed. James.
“So, this place is pretty cool. You mentioned that your parents left everything to you. Does that include cars? ”
“Yeah they left me four. They are all in the garage” I showed him how to get there, but I didn’t think he was quite done talking.
“When Shane said that you got shot, um….. Was that true?’
“Yeah, but it was only in my leg. No big deal.”
“Wow. Um….. I’m going to go look at the cars now. Do you want to come with me?”
“Sure. Let’s go.” We left and I leaded him there and when I opened the door and turned the lights on, I saw James’ face. He was shocked at the four cars I had.
“I am in heaven. I can’t believe you have three of the cars that are in the top ten fastest cars in the world. What’s up with the truck?”
“You know your cars. I told you I like fast cars. Oh, and the truck was my dad’s car that he drove if he didn’t want to get that much attention.”
“I still can’t believe that you have the SSC Ultimate Aero, the Saleen S7Twin-Turbo, and the McLaren F1.”
“No big deal to me. I would let you drive one, but I don’t want to let anyone out of the house.” Plus I don’t trust you quite yet.
“That’s ok. I enjoy just looking at them. Plus, you shouldn’t be here. You should be off working on important things. Like, I don’t know, maybe figuring out who tried to kill you?” We both giggled for a few minutes and I left the room. I went back to Shane. He was still on the computer searching and hacking every website that he could find. He stood up when he saw me. He and James were so different. James was so sweet and cute, but Shane was so comforting, sweet, strong, protective, and loving. Crap. I guess it just depends what happens in the next few weeks. I got over my thoughts as I realized Shane came over to me and kissed me on the lips. I had missed that.
“What was that for?” I asked.
“Why can’t we be together again? You’re going to have to come back once we’re done with this. I have missed you so much.”
“I’ve missed you too, but I just don’t know if I can come back after what happened. I felt so helpless when they had me.” Bringing back memories sent shivers up my spine.
“When the guys took you and had you in that room, I still came and got you out. Oh, and why did you tell everyone else that you were shot, when that didn’t really happen?”
“They did shoot me in the leg, so technically I didn’t lie and you were the one who came up with that.” He kissed me again, with his beautiful chocolate brown eyes staring down at me.
I kept thinking about what had happened that night almost four months ago when I saw him come in the room to save me, but I couldn’t remember much after they hit me on the head with something hard, and I started bleeding. I saw a huge pool of blood on the floor in my thought. Right when I thought of the blood, I came out of my daydream and realized Shane was still kissing me. I pushed him away and spoke.
“I have to go and make sure everyone is still here and ok.”
“I have missed you. I am just so used to kissing you when ever I want.”
“I know. I just need some space now.” I knew James wasn’t much competition for Shane and I knew they both knew that too. I still wanted to give James a chance.
“Ok. I’ll talk to you later.” Good, I’m glad I got that done with. Well, for now.
I left the room and went to the speaker in the hall, and said, “I need a reply from everyone, to make sure you all are ok. Say your name and that you are here. One at a time ok?” I got replies from everyone, except three people. I was missing Matt, Cali, and James. Matt and Cali were two of my friends, but they weren’t any of my best friends. I hadn’t realized that James didn’t answer until I had said his name over and over a few times. “Has anyone seen Matt, Cali, or James?” I sounded so panicked on the speaker. No one answered.
I started to really panic then. I ran everywhere, which took awhile, cause it was a big house. I sat on the bottom stair of one of many curly staircases. I felt my back pocket vibrate. I took out my phone and opened it. I had one new text. I read it and I dropped my phone and I burst out crying and I couldn’t stop either. Shane heard me right away and ran right to me and calmed me down. He brought my IPod, knowing if he played music, that it would calm and relax me right away. He gave me my IPod and he pulled me into his lap and hugged me and he kissed the top of my head.
“Luna, its ok, now slowly tell me what happened.” His voice sounded so sweet and calm.
“Matt, Cali, and James were all taken. And it’s my entire fault. I didn’t keep a close enough eye on them. I had to leave the agency. I just had to have a normal life. They just had to come after me.” I burst back into tears and immediately stopped when I heard the phone ring. I ran to it as fast as I could. “Hello?”
“I bet you are wondering where your friends are.” I knew the voice the second he spoke. It was Scarface’s’ boss. His name was Spencer and he was the one who killed my parents and captured me a few months ago.
Chapter 3
I took a deep breath, but I knew nothing could calm me down now. Not even music. I tried to think what I could do. What does he want for them? I knew the answer; I just didn’t want to think about it.
“What do you want?”
“You know what I want. I want you dead or alive. If I get you here, then you can have your friends. The longer it takes for you to get to me, the harder it will be for your friends to live.” He is only after me this time to finally kill me since he failed the last time.
“Fine, give me a time and place and I will be there.” I heard Shane and James yell at the same time. I knew what had to happen, and they did too. I hung up the phone. He told me that I had to meet him at North Park on Saturday at 12 and every hour past that, he would hurt them more and more till they were dead. I have had the worst few last days ever.
I told Shane what had happened and of course he didn’t agree. I left the room and I headed toward the kitchen. My kitchen is my second-favorite place in my house. My first is my gun room and shooting range, which was right under the kitchen. I made myself a turkey sandwich. I hadn’t eaten in over a day. I looked around at all the black and white. The cabinets were white with black knobs and the counter was black granite. In the middle of the huge kitchen, there was a breakfast bar there with room for four stools.
When I finished, I went to my fridge, pressed a few buttons and my hand and eyes were scanned. A few beeps went off and a secret door opened to the gun room and shooting range. I took a cup of hot cocoa down with me. It helped calm me down too. I got a black duffle bag and packed it with guns. I looked up and saw Shane and he looked like he had just seen a ghost.
“What are you doing? You aren’t going after them are you? You don’t even know where they are!”
“Actually I do. My phone has a tracking system on it. They aren’t that far from here. I’m going to take the Saleen. It will fit both me and the guns.”
“I’m going with you” He came over to me and kissed me again, but this time I could feel the stress between us.
“I need to do this alone. He wants me not you. He would only take you to torture me more!” I never raise my voice, but I really couldn’t let him come with me. I had to do this alone.
“You need to get some sleep. Go to bed. I will keep an eye on everyone else.”
“Fine and try and call everybody’s parents and tell them that we are staying at a motel overnight and that they should be home tomorrow.”
“I can do that. Now go upstairs!” I went up to my room and crawled in bed. It felt so nice. I hadn’t slept in over two days.
I woke up to the sound of screaming. I looked around, but I didn’t hear it again before I realized it was me screaming. I heard Shane run upstairs and storm into my room.
“Are you ok? What happened?”
“It was just a dream.” I didn’t remember having a dream. So what was it?
“You have only been sleeping for three hours. You need to sleep some more.” He crawled in bed next to me which comforted me. I reached down to my ankle to make sure my knife was still there just in case he left and someone else came in. It was the same knife that made the beeper thing go off at the State Capitol that I covered up with an anklet. Shane reached over and put his arm around me and whispered in my ear, “Luna, its ok. You’re going to be ok. You will pull through this. Ok?”
“Ok.” I barely whispered as I fell back into a deep sleep. I wondered about tomorrow and what I was going to do. I couldn’t just leave them there to die.
I woke up the next day, very sleepy. I looked around and I didn’t see Shane. I decided that I was going to go try and save James, Matt and Cali. I got up, got dressed in my old pair of bullet proof clothes. I figured that I might need them. I went through the secret passage in my closet to where I hid a few bags of guns. I grabbed the one closest to me and went through yet another secret door (the house is full of them) to my garage. I decided I was going to still take the Saleen. I ducked inside and closed the door. I took a deep breath and pulled out of the garage afraid I would never return.
Chapter 4
I found the old deserted house that they were being held at. It looked so creepy. I didn’t know where I actually had expected them to be at. I hid the car behind some bushes and I got my duffle bag out. I put on a few harnesses and loaded them with guns. I made sure all of the guns had as many bullets as possible in them. Hopefully I wouldn’t have to use them. I reached down to my ankle to make sure that the knife was still there. It was thankfully. I thought about Shane. I knew he would be so mad when he couldn’t find me. He was smart. He would know where I was going, but he wouldn’t know the exact building. It wouldn’t take that long to figure out how to use the tracking system though.
I went inside through a door I saw on the back side of the building. It actually wasn’t that creepy inside. I walked down a hallway, but there weren’t any doors anywhere. I looked on the floor, to see if there were any hatches or anything, but all I saw was blood and it was fresh.
I walked a little more down the hallway before I found a hatch on the floor. I took a deep breath and opened it. It lead down another hallway. There were doors on each side of the walls about ten feet apart. I heard Cali and Matt’s voices yelling for help. I knew ahead of time that they would have James in a separate room to make it harder on me if I attempted to come and get them, like I am now. I picked the locked door and it opened. I ran right to their bloody hands to untie them.
“Are you guys alright?”
“Where are we? Luna, what’s…. Watch out!” I didn’t hear her fast enough before something hard hit me on the head and knocked me out. Crap. Mission failed. I was going to die and so were they.
I slowly woke up to find the undead Scarface staring at me from across the room. I am so gladhe lived through the bomb, but I noticed he had something in his hand. He walked over to me and slapped my face. Hard too. He kept hitting and punching me in the head over and over. The scene from a few months ago was happening again, but I knew this time I wouldn’t make it out alive. I was knocked out again because of his repeated hitting and me bleeding.
I woke up to the sound of banging. Someone was repeatedly banging on a door or a wall or something, but I couldn’t figure it out. I tried to look up at the door, but it was so hard and tiresome to move. I closed my eyes ready to die, when I heard Shane’s voice.
“Luna!” I blacked out after that and I had no idea what was happening. Crap. I kept coming in and out of consciousness and it came at random times too.
“Shane…?” I said it so dreary that I didn’t even recognize my own voice.
“It’s ok baby, I’m here, but you know you should not have left without me!” He was so mad at me. He scooped me up in his arms, and kissed my bloody forehead.
“Are Cali, Matt, and James safe?” I whispered under my breath.
“Matt and Cali are and James is too, but I don’t think he was in any danger in the first place.”
“What? Where is he now?”
“When I came in, he was in a room by himself eating cereal or something, but he wasn’t bloody or anything.”
“Well, maybe he was being tricked by them to tell them stuff about me.” It hurt so bad to talk and I was so tired all over. Shane was still carrying me, which helped a lot.
“I think he is on their side, Luna.” I went back into unconsciousness and I don’t know how I made it alone in a park when I woke up.
I looked around and there was no one there. I looked down at myself and I wasn’t bloody or anything. What was happening? I had no idea where I was. I walked around for about an hour and I couldn’t find anything or anyone I recognized. I tripped over something and blacked out.
