I’m drowning

I’m drowning in your presence

Your fear plagues my mind and stops my heart and I just want to love you

Your hate bleeds through the fine print of this very poem

You can’t help me know more

You just have to let me through the door, how can I do anything standing outside?

I can’t stop but hoping for the best.

I hate that I love you because it would be very simple to just love someone else

At least I wouldn’t be at war with myself

You choose to be the way you are

I can’t stand by you if you keep letting yourself fall to the ground
