Tear

Drenched in the tear drops of the past

I open my eyes

I see your lip as it comes close to me

I feel your soft touch on my body

My mind buzz’s with joy

My hate all melted away

I still can’t help it how I hate your ways

I can’t help it that I hate your pains

I can’t help it that all your crap is going to spill over into this

I can’t help it that I keep fighting, and fighting for god only knows what!

I just wish I could embrace it all and be patient, and wait for whatever happens to happen!

Let it happen

Yeah that’s what I just want

I’m tired of being in this pit of agony

I’m tired of being drowned in this hateful pain

I’m just looking for a better life.

I give props to anyone who makes it past their first sentence honestly. If its to long some times I loose interest. If its all soaked in crap I usually don't know what to say. But also poems aren't meant for a casual read, their meant for a certain kind of mood. If your reading through a poem and analyzing it for its grammar or analyzing it for the way it was put on the paper then your looking past the true meaning. If you read it and get soaked up in the feeling, then you have found yourself immersed in true poetry. We are here to share those feelings and we are here to see that we are not alone. Poetry is like breathing, everyone has it, its only those who let go of their stupid pride to let it free that make it possible.

i was expecting much "worse" after reading your about. this one i hear being sung in a melody that follows the words - almost. i like it even though i almost got a little impatient during the "i can't help it" lines. i still consider myself with no right to critique another's work since i grew up "hating" poetry. i don't know how i became drawn to it to write it and read others'. i'm still learning and just in case i haven't said it clearly, i like this one.
