A Story by blueampersand

'Hi.' My voice falls into the silence like a blown kiss.

Small drops of rain race each other to the bottom of the window. On the way they join with others; the handicapped, the stalled ones.

Sometimes they stop. Sometimes they speed up. You never know.

'What are you thinking of?' you ask.

Your eyes smile. A piece of joy.

'Nothing.'
