Wretched Rain

Wretched Rain

A Poem by MelLM

It rains in my head,
Oh, and how I fear the storm.
For when it comes I will be washed out to sea,
Ready to drown, struggling.

There are times I fear the rain more than anything
Times such as this, I am elated
I am floating, I am safe...
Perhaps.

I fear that the rain will come once more,
And I fear I will be lost yet again.
You have saved my soul from going under,
You are my life preserver;
My truly greatest friend.
