Bravehearted Child

Bravehearted Child

A Poem by MelLM

In her dreams, she wisked away the monsters by herself.
She learned to be her own hero, when no one was there to help.
Independence reigned supreme.
Such a little girl stuck in her own little world,
She needs someone to hang on to.
When you weren't there, she learned not to care, and moved on without you.
Confused, curious, unsure and hidden she stayed,
never came a day when she was saved.
She freed her mind, and opened it's cage,
Unleashed her imagination that had once been retained.
Enraged, it bellowed through all open doors,
ideas and thoughts, out they poured.
Mind as free as daylight itself, enlightened others on it's way out.
