Today I am one..alone..me..no longer a part of you

part of me has been stripped away forever..oh it's not

noticeable on the outside..people even say how great I have held up..but it's gone and I will never be the same

it's you

oh not the physical you or even the part of you that I wore on my finger it's the essence of you

the little nueances of you that I tucked away in my memory and heart that noone knew about but me but they were etched in my very being the things that made you special only to me

it's you

how do you erase the very being of the person you love the person with whom you had plan your life with the person that knows into the deepest secrects of your soul

you do...today I am one..but there will always be you

"...today I am one..but there will always be you" this line is very compelling.
the poem itself , wow! I cannot get over how very well you described this person...so heartfelt, full of longing, I sighed aloud while reading it...I could almost feel the pain that radiates from these words. this is wonderful work!!!
