A Tribute to "Civil Disobedience"

A Tribute to "Civil Disobedience"

A Poem by Brenden Taylor
"

Upon the reading of "Civil Disobedience" by H.D. Thoreau.

"

To never letting voting be enough,

        And not abuse the priv’lege of convenience;

To stop excess and live within yourself,

        Denying all your loved luxuriance;

To not await for change that must become

        In revolution-based expedience;

To hearken for the age that is to come,

        To live in civil disobedience.
