The Gardenia

The Gardenia

A Poem by Brenden Taylor
"

A stranger gave me a gardenia the other day...

"

White, pristine, and good

Blooming in the August time

Gardenia rising

-/-

Aromatic balm

Soothing troubles of the mind

Gardenia healing

-/-

Eight feet tall and thin

Reaching up to heaven blue

Gardenia standing

-/-

Winter comes too soon

Freezing veins of glory gold

Gardenia dying

-/-

Love enchanting me

Love enchanting everyone

Gardenia purpose

-/-

Immortal blossom

Eternal life in my hand

Gardenia living
