Nothing Underneath

Nothing Underneath

A Poem by blowing your cover

do you remember

the vision I had

brown burlap tarp, or covering

staked down at each corner, to the ground

billowing up

as if it were not held down, it would fly away

I recall asking

what is underneath?

thinking you were hiding something spectacular

something wonderful

a surprise of some kind

now I know

the reason it needed to be held down

now I see

why it billowed so

there was nothing underneath!

except for lots and lots of hot air

explains the word

I heard

several months ago:

"You are being deceived."

thank you, Freedom

thank you
