Oh, Mommy

Oh, Mommy

A Poem by BloodyWire
"

About a Mother with SI who has a 6 year-old son who doesn't understand. Isn't about me but the idea flew from my own exsperences.

"

Oh, Mommy…why do you have so many scars?

Oh, Mommy…why do you cry late at night?

Oh Mommy you thought I didn’t know

You thought I couldn’t hear

Mommy, why doesn’t Daddy look at you?

Why does he tell me to be more nice to you?

Oh, Mommy…why can’t you tell me these things?

I know I’m little…

I know that I don’t know what 10+10 is but Mommy I want to know

Oh Mommy I need to know

I can’t read much…

I can’t reach the high shelves, but Mommy…

I need to know

Oh, Mommy…why won’t you go swimming?

Can’t you swim?

It’s ok if you can’t

I’m not that good either

Oh, Mommy…aren’t you always hot?

Oh, Mommy…why do you where long shirts in summer?

I get very hot, don’t you?

Oh, Mommy…why doesn’t Daddy like knives?

Why did he scream when you tried to cut up my food?

Is he scared you’d accidentally cut yourself?

Doesn’t he know your not that clumsy?

Oh Mommy, does Daddy love you?

Oh Mommy, why doesn’t he say it anymore?

He used to all the time then he stopped

Oh Mommy is something wrong?

Oh, Mommy tell me please…

I want to know…

I need to know…

Mommy I’m big enough to know…

Mommy I’m a big boy,

I can handle anything…

I’m tough and strong

Soon I’ll be 6...

Then will you tell me Mommy?

Then will you tell me what’s wrong?

Please?

Pretty please?

About
I am a cutter, but I don't like that word. SI is too short and vauge. Maybe one day I'll find a word that fits. more..
