A Very Near Far Away

A Very Near Far Away

A Poem by Megan
"

inspired by the ocean, and the stretching horizons, how God is so far away, yet delved inside of us at the same time, like the horizon is so close, but yet so far. Enjoy. :)

"
F a r  a w a y,
distance reaching
across horizons painted vermillion,
glittering sunshine,
watering r e b i r t h.

Sounds approaching,
calling out with
the whispers of peace,
trimmed with tranquility.

Closerandcloser,
the newness brushes my feet,
footsteps like
imprints in the Book of Life.

Nearness,
crawling across the unworldly ocean,
reaching out to me,
fingering my pain and sorrow,
cleansing my scars and wounds.

Revelation,
a new day,
a new life,
a new chance.

You,
engraved, plunged in my soul
yet millions of miles a p a r t.
A nearness
so far away.

God is here with us always, but he is also far away. This poem expresses that and I like it. Very brilliant! And the colors for some of the words brought out this poem more.
