Awaiting Deliverance

Awaiting Deliverance

A Poem by Megan
"

Wanted to start a poem with "cross the path" for a long time. So here it came. this poem's about overcoming hardship and then facing the world alone, waiting until you find the one for you.

"
Cross the path of worthlessness,
self-mutilation,
suffering, and hardship
and you come face to face with a road of hope,
a road of new beginnings and possibilities.
And it is there you sit waiting,
until your road finally intertwines
with a new road,
soon making a four-way intersection,
an interconnection called a family.
Only, my road has yet to cross,
leaving the path I'm sitting on so alone.
But, barefoot and ready,
I know I must start walking,
and look forward to the day
when my loneliness won't be so overbearing,
where my road will cross with another
and intertwined we will be forever.
