Heavy Yearnings

Heavy Yearnings

A Poem by Megan

Occurances often seize them.

Am I to be left in the snow?

All over again-

is my smile not radiating, illuminating my glow?

Curiosity spikes,

feelings of wonder arising from deep within my heart-

a place barren, dry of all likes.

where's the snow to dampen, to start?

Light as a feather,

I have no burdens upon me,

still i long for them, hither:

yearning to feel more than a deadweight, like other she.

So I yearn for the weight to come

with my mind body and soul-

when will my time be to succumb

to something more than this empty hole?

Oh, longings for thee-

please Be...

Nice rhythm. I like your economy of words - it makes what you say stand out more.
