Blind eye view

To the one I left behind I owe this.

Please take this message as your second

prescription. This dose of honesty will

grace upon you lips but miss thoughts.

I miss you like the better of myself.

Are you with me or still breathing

familiar air. My words were never

meant for illicit consumption, yet still

you drank. Another atrophy for sorrow's

machine. I mourn you as yesterday.

My desires won't save you, your

doleful distaste for life sustains you

as you sit. I am not still. Betrayal was

in plot from the start of the story so to

believe as though you never saw the end

coming is willful ignorance. I played lines

hoping to last forever but theres nothing but

another failure.

This is my blind eye view, my

take on a failing friend. My mirror

still reflects a waste but I have never

seen fit to disguise it. I have no

illusions of who I am now.

I have read you bleeding, several

pages at a loss. Truth be told my

teeth were sharpened long before

we took our first bites. Never once

did I lie but honestly never said this.

There are choices we have to make and

murders we have to commit. I danced

with you like none other but by now the

damage is withering my rose sealed away.

You can't save me but maybe its the hell

I call home that never leaves me. My wish

is for a separation and acceleration,

another failing.
