I Am

I am quiet and humble, yet my presence is heard loudly

I am the calm before and after the storm

I am the sunshine on the cloudiest day

I am simple, yet complex

I am simply me

I'm portrayed as strong yet I am weak

I am not degreed on paper yet knowledgeable about much

I am dark in color yet vibrant as a rainbow

I am no billionaire yet I am rich in spirit

I am no millionaire yet willing to give my last

I am simply me

I am not famous yet I have purpose

I am no scholar yet I speak profoundly

I am not perfect for I am human

I am simply me

I am not knowingly of royalty yet I am a queen

I am not everything yet I am every woman

I am not a failure, I am success

I am a leader, a follower, and a team player

I am a daughter, sister, aunt, loyal friend, partner,

 lover, wife, and mother...yet most important I am a woman of substance

I am simply me

I am the feel good that warms your heart

The thought in your head that intrigues and nags at you

I am that need for a challenge when you seek something different

I am laughter when you need the best medicine

I am a calming comfort in your time of need

I am your sleep aid on a restless night

I am simply me
