Homeless

Homeless

A Poem by SJ

Cold and lonely

I know for sure he won’t be the only

No bed or food

Is it a wonder he’s in such a bad mood

Passers by narrowing their eyes

No words pass their lips, not a hello or goodbye

Rejected by society

Not trusted with any responsibility

Neglected and alone

Without a shelter to call home

Roaming the street

Trying to survive in the extreme heat

With one companion, man’s best friend

Just to live, every law he has to bend

WoW--great poignant write--it is as if the homeless are invisible to us-
i suppose people don't want to think anyone could be live like that...
this poem has that kind of mood that makes you notice that you are just
as cold-hearted when it comes to not being altruistic for the homeless...

"Passers by narrowing their eyes
No words pass their lips, not a hello or goodbye"

...great poetry...i love this!!!
