one way friendship

Together we said we would be friends forever

Stick by each other everyday

Every private joke I’ll remember forever

One argument things change

But I remain by your side

I know what you mean when you say –

‘Things will be awkward’

Slowly things go back to the old ways

Another day, another joke

So much trust between you and I

Another argument things are different

I thought I’d find you by my side

And help me solve this riddle of problems

Lost without my friend forever

Everything we said, lost in our friendship untold

One lost joke, though it doesn’t seem as funny without you

Maybe one day we will be friends forever again

But for now...

I definitely know this feeling. It is not very much fun. I like this poem. I especially like the way you repeat "joke" is different ways. Also, your last line is very grabbing. If I were to give advice I would say that some of the lines don't exactly flow as well as they could. For example, "one argument thing change". It might flow better if you put a comma or an "and" in there. Just a suggestion but overall a good piece!
