Tiptoed Dreams

Tiptoed Dreams

A Poem by BLFK
"

I woke to a few words that were stuck in my head. I reached for my phone, in a minimum of two minutes, I had typed out "Tiptoed Dreams" . So. . . It isn't all that great.

"

I am tiptoeing in and out of sleep.
Like a princess almost found by her prince.
I am swaying in my midnight dreams this morning,
Feeling the flowers all around and
I know that the black and white fairy tales are fading away.
My body, wrapped in white sheets and blankets,
With blonde curls falling down my back.
The gentle hum of your imaginary voice
Is singing me back to sleep.
Like a princess almost to be found by her prince,
I can hear your voice but I am unable to see you.
I tiptoe out of reality
And back into the land of sweet dreams and fairy tales,
With the recollection that I will awake
To you holding me gently.
And I'll be a princess who was found by her prince.
