Forget Me Love. . .

Forget Me Love. . .

A Story by BLFK
"

It is a story told through poetry.

"

I had to step away from life. . .For a moment.

With disconnection, will it please supply air?

I cannot breathe at the moment;

There is no concentration.

Every thought is blurred into a hue of black and white.

So long ago I fell in love.

Innocence was all to be known;

To care was easy.

And everything was just the way it was supposed to be.

We needed one another-the way it was meant to be.

I could steal the air away from your cold body.

Love:

We were in love.

Those little girl fairy-tales concealed inside, felt almost realistic and in reach.

But while your heart was in my hands,

Something was really wrong.

My heart was far from being just yours. . .

To touch your flesh,

And I felt reborn.

So, tell me, why am I imagining you are him?

Him:

Remember the man I met when were just beginning to love?

He had meant nothing;

But through little things-

Talking till our cellphone's battery died-

I began to open up to a beautiful and terrible idea. . .

He could make a desire-one after the other-come;

But one desire was to drift into a deep sleep, floating in his voice. . .

I was intoxicated.

But where were you at this time?

Never checking up on me,

I became confused in who I loved.

Who did I need?

This will be put in three different posts. . .

Right now I am editing the rest. . .

Soon I will add it.

What a wonderful expression of love's uncertainty. I have some sense of identity with this...it is a bit painful for me..even though it is written from a women's perspective. Often in my marriage (shouldn't make this type of confessions...now should I) I have had similar engagements with these feelings. More often than not when I glimpse a couple holding hands or kissing. Strange, I know. This uncertainty, or perhaps better words would be anxiety of indecision is laced through and through. You have masterfully captured the pain and love completely...but with brevity. Very nicely written. I like very much!

This is a very unique way to put a story- Through poetry. So the piece can have the edge of a story and yet the flow and soft concept of a poem. Loved it. =]

oh I think it is intriguing that you're writing it through poetry. Wonderful words. They express it perfectly.
