Nature's Shower

Nature's Shower

A Poem by Moth Phoenix
"

I don't want to say what it's about; take it however you want to. If you send me an inbox I'll tell you what it really means.

"

Here she lays,

curled up with such disarray.

Counted on them for far too long,

left now only with a noose in hand.

Preparing to hang her old self,

and start at a new.

She fears death,

but yearns rebirth.

She says all they did was blasphemy,

they said it was a mistake, honestly.

Doubting whether they were serious or not,

they always knew they'd be caught.

Her tears turn to blood,

fragile body left alone.

Eyes gone from hazel to black,

she isn't sure how she'll get on track.

She hates what you've done to her,

skinned like an animal for fur.

Bruises, tattered, and beyond repair,

she needs someone to care.

She says all they did was blasphemy,

they say it was a mistake, honestly.

Life full of light and flowers,

you were washed away with nature's shower.

She can't find you anymore,

because you packed and walked out that door.

Tell me what you think. I cried a little reading this back to myself.
