My Heart

My Heart

A Poem by Moth Phoenix
"

Guys better be careful with my heart––or I'll tear them apart just like they did to my heart!!

"

If I give you this heart, will you take it?

Hold it high above it all and save it?

It's glass so please be careful,

one wrong move and you're history.

Don't play with it like it's a yo-yo,

better yet a pogo.

It's what keeps me alive and well,

I'm not gonna get hypnotized by your spell.

I need to live my own life no matter what,

so don't pull me close and then""shut!

You're better off without me, don't you think?

All you want is lust, and all I want is love.

Put me back on the shelf please,

cause you're such a freakin' skeeze.
