SolaceA Poem by Moth PhoenixEh...Her last breath turns to ice, her lungs full of lies. Eyes nothing but pure onyx, a heart once filled with love. Now turns to disturbed solace. She prays that tomorrow will come, only to see time has stopped. The pain can't be tolerated, the lies can't be heard no more. She stands far off in the distance, hoping you'll be watching. Tears plummet downward towards the ocean, helped only by gravity. Far from solace she is now, only to be disturbed yet again. Once distressed now settled, but with one last word to say. She wishes you hadn't lied, come clean and speak the truth. A lie was her dagger, kisses like venom. Down, down, down he'll go, higher and higher she'll fly. Submerged with love and rejoice, he takes her porcelain hand. Just one kiss to awaken the angel, and bring her to solace. © 2010 Moth PhoenixAuthor's Note
