Best Friends

Im writing a memoir in creative writing class and since my best friend is so important to me, I decided to write a poem about it =]

I found you by the swings in second grade,

I didn't know what we'd soon be. 

10 years later and a friendship still strong,

I'll always be there for you.

Silly fights and petty crimes committed,

we can just throw those aside. 

You're so much more important than some dumb sweater,

I'll guarantee you that. 

I'd fight the world to save you from peril,

would you do the same?

Time will slowly pass us by,

college soon in our future. 

1 mile or a thousand I'm still there for you,

Keep my love and hold it close,

it shall never fade away.
