Death's EmbraceA Poem by Moth PhoenixThis idea came up in my creating writing class. Even though it's my second day it still popped up. Tell me what you thinl.Lovers found at the crack of dawn one day, forever in each others arms they'd say. Until that one fateful night in July, when she knew he was going to die. She stood on the highest rock, and saw him standing on the boat dock. Whether it be intuition or sense, she knew he'd lose his defense. He said he's be gone only a few years, but it brought her to terrible tears. She told herself that she'd be alright, even if it meant waiting up all night. The days came and went, she knew his life had been spent. Each day drove her insane, she couldn't deal with the pain. Then one stormy Friday, there was nothing more she could say. Wrapped in a tight blue blanket she took a walk, over to the boat dock. A tear falling down her face, she was soon settled in death's embrace. © 2010 Moth PhoenixAuthor's Note
