Strings AttachedA Poem by Moth PhoenixI don't know. Its been a thought in my mind for quite some time...
There she stands
alone.... cold..... Wondering who she really is, what she'd be like without these strings attached. What it's like to move her own way, what it's like to be herself. sorrow.... lonely.... Always making mistakes and never perfect, no one is. They make her what they want, never see what she wants. A lonely girl who has a heart of love, but stifles who she is. sad.... numb... Her name comes and goes with the wind, only a whisper. Tossed this way and turned that way, there she stands tied up and controlled. All she wants is freedom, but it's never granted. Confused..... scared........ imperfect... outcast....... The wind would blow hard, her hair would get in her face. She'd fall back with the mighty power, into a world entirely her own. Where no strings are attached, she can be herself. Happy..... cheerful.... Is all she really wants, is to be herself.
