Ghost of the PastA Poem by Moth PhoenixA poem about a girl accepting her past. There she stood, hiding behind the cotton tree. Fear ran through her veins, an emotion she's always felt. What is she scared of? The ghost of her past haunts her. Boo! Faster and faster she runs away, heaving and almost tripping. She trips into a vortex, hands n the clock turn back. Boo! There she stands, behind the same cotton tree. In nothing but torn up clothes. Stepping forward she meets a man, one look and she runs away. Stop! He calls out to her, his long hair swaying in the wind. She fails to hear his voice, the ghost of her past catches up to her. Haha! She feels his grasp around her arms, closing her eyes and imagining. Hope is for the hopeful, failure is for the failures. Accepting is fro the accepted. That's what she must do. Boo!
