Summers Night

Summers Night

A Poem by Moth Phoenix
"

based off of a song

"

Dark night

Bright moon

Perfectly zen

Stars twinkle in the midst

crickets play their song

Tall grass stands high

while critters sleep below

An owl hoots in the distance

while fireflies can't hold their resistance

A twig snaps! Branches crack!

Only a family of deer running by

from the sound of a coyote cry

Bull frogs make themselves known

while an alligator groans

As night goes on dew appears

the sun comes scaring all fears
