Glasses

This is how I really feel. I like my glasses because I can feel I can hide behind them.

I hate wearing contacts,

I feel exposed.

At least with my glasses I can hide,

but maybe I don't want to.

Everyone likes me with contacts,

I just need more self confidence. 

Some can read me like a book without them,

others need to take a second look.

I feel safer with my glasses,

but I feel prettier without them. 

Some like the glasses that I wear,

others like my average face.

There is only one person who can make me feel good either way,

for the love of my life will decide. 

No matter what I can always hide behind my glasses,

but if I do I won't ever burst out.

For right now my glasses are my comfort zone,

and without them I'm lost. 

Maybe as time goes on I'll learn to get accustom,

but in the mean time I'll wear them. 

I mean they are my glasses,

and they've been with me for eight years and counting.

I think you should wear what makes you comfortable... I wore contacts for years and loved them now I feel more comfortable in glasses... what matters is what you feel best wearing.

this is nice i like it man and you look great with and with out them and your face is much more thatn average and i feel the secound line would flow more saying *so exposed* but its just my opinion

It's cute! It makes a good point. It flows better in some places than others, easily fixed. I like your writing style. Most poetry nowadays is deep and depressing or violent, but this is great!
