![]() The MirrorA Poem by Moth PhoenixThe mirror is her enemy, she avoids it when she can. Everyone says she's beautiful, but she disagrees. She hate's seeing herself in the mirror, every time she runs. She thinks she's fat, she says she's ugly. Under chocolate hair and pool of emerald eyes, lies a princess waiting to burst out. Her friends don't make her feel any better, no one understands her. She seems to be slipping and only wants to fail. One day she wants to look at her self and smile, not have to worry about what others say. So what if she's different everyone is. She wants to be the best, she wants to be pretty. No one ever tells her that without her asking, all she asks is for someone to notice. She feels as though as it keeps her from shinning, and it very might. When it comes to boys she's self conscious, do they think I'm pretty or ugly? She'll never be a size 0, she's gotta understand she's beautiful the way she is. One day she'll look at herself in the mirror, and the person in it will smile back at her. I am beautiful, she'll say. I am.
