Wash Away

Wash Away

A Poem by Moth Phoenix

I had a red rose and now it's turn black,
the icy breath of fate hits me if I ever turn back.
I kiss your stupid stricken face,
with a severely violent kiss.
The pain you caused me falls with my tears,
no amount of love could ever wash it away
(wash it away)

Pouring rain fall down on my face!
Wrap your arms around me in your sweet embrace!
I stand here alone empty and cold!
Without someone to hold!
The pouring rain can fall as hard as it wants to
but it will never wash you away.

Once you left my life it went on lock down,
I felt like I had drown.
The light from the sun shines so brightly,
and the soft lips kiss me ever so lightly.
The blood red glow of my heart still beats,
even with the pain you caused me.
The tears that I cry wash away my make up,
but no amount of tears could ever wash you away.
(wash you away)

Thunderstorm rain fall down on me!
Welcome me with your loud screams and roars!
I stand here alone empty and cold!
Without a smiling red rose to hold!
Let the torrents of rain fall down up on as hard as ever,
but it will never you away.

The poem is strong and sad. Washing away sadness is the dreams of all of us. The story and your detail of the poem made the lines come alive. I like the powerful statement. Made poem stand strong and with a purpose.

we gotta come out of all the tears and failure to see that the sun shines as usual and should never let ourselves to miss even a single day without a smile..... nice poem again and it could be tuned into a beautiful melancholic song........

Anyone can relate to this poem. It sucks when your gf dumps you outta nowhere, and you feel like a part of your vanished. Great poem.

This is amazing! Sadly, I think that's kinda what happened with my first boyfriend. I love how you used the color to emphasize the words, creating stronger imagery. It's really cool. And thank you for the review you gave my poem! :-D
