Broken

Broken

A Poem by Moth Phoenix
"

Boyfriend and girlfriend. Boyfriend flirts around. Girl gets her heart broken. Sh*t is fucked up!

"
I scream, sadly its no dream.
I lay in my bed and cry, as I feel my heart die.
Puffy red eyes and a heart torn in half,
he can't see my hidden wrath.
Tears fall gently down my face,
they'll never stop cause of his disgrace.
My trust, once he held so safe and secure,
now slain and hurt like an animal skinned for fur.
'I'm sorry' is all you plead,
but I'm angry like a stubborn steed.
I'll scribble out those lies with new meaning,
a meaning of love, forever, and faith.
You did what you did, and forever be told,
that was the first time I knew you were cold.
My heart is swollen, heavy, and full,
I love you, and I always will.

It's a well scribbed emotional purge. In life, love and the universe... crap happens. It's that ever changing and evolving fact of existence that we can't seem to get around. The best course is to feel it, cry about it, purge it out and then keep walking down your journey, your path. That one that you know you need to take.

Great Ink!
