If These Walls Could Talk

If These Walls Could Talk

A Poem by Moth Phoenix
"

It's how I'm feeling right now...I even cried while writing this.

"

She reaches out but no one grabs on,

just like sand in the wind, she's suddenly is gone

Just like unnoticed beauty,

strangers walk past and she stays still.

Her tears create oceans but no one swims,

the voice of an angel masked by jokers.

A friendly smile is a welcome gift, but people decline.

One more look in her eyes and they still remain silent,

she takes this as a cue

Tomorrow everything will be better, they say.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

Stuck in the room where she dreaded to go,

if only these walls could talk she may not feel alone.

She reaches out but no one grabs on,

just like sand in the wind, she's suddenly gone

I certainly know this feeling well... like you could disappear and no one would notice. Very well written.
