Why Won't You Say Yes?

Why Won't You Say Yes?

A Poem by blaze887

We have always loved eachother,

Never to be torn apart.

I have always seen you,

As the girl with the purest heart.

Of course we are just friends,

But i want to be something more.

But what i don't get is,

Why won't you say yes?

As the days passed,

I saw you begin to love me more.

Everyday i walked up to your room,

Just before i knocked on your door.

I could close my eyes and see you,

Laying on the floor.

When i came in i walked to you as usual,

And asked you once again.

You said no and turned away,

Then i knew it was your heart i would never win.

Now years have gone by,

And i still don't see why,

You never said yes to my offer.

We kissed and we hugged,

But at this chance you just shrugged,

And you turned me down.

Letting the pieces of my heart fall to the ground.

I knew how you felt about me,

And i felt the same for you.

But there is no way we could ever be together.

Now i'm with someone else,

And you are too.

But even so there is still a place in my heart,

Where i still hold my feelings for you.

I still love you,

And i always will.

As i look back at our past,

I still can't help but ask,

Why won't you say yes?
