instead of welcoming 2019 with a big bang, i welcome the year with more than 5 feet in flood brought about by typhoon named Usman. it was one tragedy and until at present dead bodies are piling up in one of the towns here in my province. i can't begin to describe the surprise, anxiety and frustration...all of us were wishing for a peaceful new year but then here was this tragedy which we can't explain and even understand. amidst everything with lost lives, lost resources and an economic dump, we tried to make the most out of it, God has a reason which we hope one day we can understand but for now all i can say is... we will rise up and be strong again amidst the sufferings and sacrifices.... still looking forward to something beautiful in 2019 despite the things that happened.. let it be buried with 2018.
Digging back to find something of yours, since you reminded me of you, by reviewing me! I am surprised to find this! It seems our world is still on the brink of disaster . . . just different disasters, different year! I love how your writing expresses the way your heart goes out to people caught in the suddenness of a natural disaster. I am on evacuation notice for a nearby fire in central California, which isn't a fun place to be right now, but there are so many other fires, bigger & closer to population centers, I tend to minimize my own situation as my heart goes out to all the others losing life & property. And then there's covid tearing apart lives! Amazing how little has changed since you posted this! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
I'm very glad that you, are safe. I hope that you and all you know make something positive come out of all the chaos. It must be very difficult to fathom why such tragedies as this happen to so many good people.
Oh my, So sorry this happened. Life and reality are so cruel. So many people suffered and died. May they RIP. And also that your life, in general, gets better this year too.
Sad nito kasi hindi lang iyon lugar naapektuhan pati may mga buhay na nawala pero tama ka may dahilan marahil si God kung bakit nangyari iyon. Pero sabi huwag susuko kahit ano manyari tuloy ang buhay.
I do understand this heart wrenching condition dear friend....I've seen such destruction in real....twas one of the Muslims' holy days but had to leave my house to shift in a safe shelter. ...I get a shaky shiver whenever think of it...However me and my family are left alive and am grateful to the Almighty for that....
Praying for the whole Philippine's fast recovery....Almighty will surely help us...ameen....
Take care and help the needy ones if possible....Stay safe.
