happy world teachers' month

it has been a calling,

Which have been difficult to ignore,

I love being around students,

Love sharing and imparting knowledge.

 

The work is tedious,

It is a hundred percent sacrifice

With long hours, noisy students and low pay,

A lot of the herd just stopped.

 

Not me,

It has been a passion,

A dedication

And a challenge.

 

Despite the hardships,

The sacrifices,

I am inspired to be

A part of the teaching world.

 

Happy teachers’ month to me

And to all the dedicated teachers

Around the world.

Beautifully stated , and sooooooo true. I don't know if you are aware. Before retiring I had taught for 45 years in grades 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. The last 25 I taught exclusively in 8th teaching American History and reading. Like you I loved it
