This untamed heart

Strikes again,

I am inspired,

I am in denial now,

But admittedly,

I am feeling elated

Knowing that

After a long time,

My heart starts to beat again.

Call it crush,

Call it attraction,

Call it infatuation,

This feeling of glee

Envelops me at present

How I love this feeling.

Thank you for this feeling,

Of inspiration,

Of awe,

Of this giddiness.

Still a long way to go,

To overcome the fear

Of loving someone new,

But thank you

For this

Awesome start.

I didn't realize how much I love giddiness until just now! I do love to be giddy, except not so much in a love situation. I'm just giddy about life. But your poem isn't heavy on the love connection, it's more just about describing the sensations, which you do so well. I love the way you do these "trilogies" of repetition with variation, very effective, some of the most effective repetitions I've seen! *smile* Now I'll be giddy for the rest of the day! I think giddiness is something that we feel not enough of, and brings excitement and energy into our lives, with the hopes of what ifs and maybes still up in the air, waiting to be decided by the fates of our destiny.
That childish rush of fizzing inside, no matter what age we are when it calls. I think the last time I was giddy was when I had a concussion, but maybe next time it will work out better for me, as I hope it does for you. :)
